With the state of the world during the pandemic, i was close to quitting music forever and getting into the commercial transportation industry, as an intergalactic space trucker. However, in a fortuitous turn of events, I was lucky enough to meet a man who regaled me with stories of his life in intergalactic commerce. He told me tales of adventure, of love (and love lost), and of freedom... but he also told me tales of isolation, stress due to unrealistic job demands, and diminishing returns. See, unfortunately because of the lack of a unified intergalactic federation, discrepancies in government protections and multispace law enforcement have led to space pirates. Shit tons of space pirates, so he tells me, looking to rip off hardworking galactic truckers like himself with no means of recourse. He had to get out while he still had a truck to get home with, and enough scratch to retire to a simple life on an undisclosed planet of his choosing. He also said in his travels, he’d seen a thousand global pandemics, and that music always makes it through. He convinced me to give up my dreams of space truckin’ and stick to making music a little while longer, and for that, I am grateful.
